Our Lady of the Cape Parish
Rosary Ministry

Mission Statement

Our Lady of the Cape Rosary Ministry is a ministry of prayer.  It complies with Pope John Paul II's Apostolic Letter on the Rosary Rosarium Virginis Mariae.  When Pope John Paul declared 2002 as the year of the Rosary it was to help the faithful with a better understanding of the Rosary.  Also, to open the door for them to a deeper prayer life using the Rosary as a means to contemplate Christ's face, and to journey with him through his life while praying and meditating the Mmysteries of the Rosary.

This ministry is available to support other Ministries in the parish by making available to them  handmade Rosaries made by parishioners of Our Lady of the Cape Parish.  Also available are pamphlets on how to pray and meditate the life of Christ while saying the Rosary.

Rosaries will be made available upon request to the following ministries of Our Lady of the Cape Church:

- Altar Servers
- Baptism
- Caregivers
- Children Who Are Ill
- Eucharist to the Homebound
- Haiti Mission Church
- Healing and Prayer Ministries
- Hospital Ministry
- Lazarus Ministry
- Nursing Homes
- Our Lady of the Cape Church
- Parish Nurses
- RCIA
- Religious Education
- Respite

These Rosaries are made by the loving hands of volunteers of the Rosary Ministry, and are then blessed by a LaSalette Priest.  They bring the gift of prayer to those who receive them.

The ministry is open to anyone who would like to learn to make Rosaries.  The Rosaries are simple cord Rosaries that are easy to make.

This is a very rewarding Ministry that offers a way for individuals to pray for other people, while at the same time, deepening their own prayer life.  Training in how to make these Rosaries is available upon request, as well as Rosary workshops that are offered in the parish.

May the grace and blessing of Our Lord Jesus Christ continue to guide this Ministry which has been placed in the hands of Our Blessed Mother and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
